Reports to: JA of Tyler Regional Executive Director which reports to JA of Dallas President & CEO
Status: Full-Time, Salaried
Salary: $50,000 - $57,000

Impact

The Angelina County Executive Director provides direction and leadership for the Junior Achievement of Angelina County operations, and has overall responsibility for fundraising, volunteer recruitment, special events, program growth & quality, public relations & marketing, and board development & administration. Also responsible for upholding quality standards for the organization and for assuring adherence to program standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for planning, organization, and direction of the organization’s operations and programs, as aligned with the strategic plan;
• Create and implement a comprehensive development program for the organization with a goal of securing resources needed to operate and expand the organizations’ educational programs;
• Create, and implement fundraising events & secure community involvement and support for such events;
• Identify potential sources of investment and complete new and recurring grant applications, to ensure the funding for program strategy.
• Responsible for fiscal management that operates within the approved budget, ensures maximum resource utilization, and maintaining the organization in a positive financial position.
• Develop and maintain relationships with board members, corporate and community supporters, donors, volunteers, educators, and staff;
• Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with new & existing companies to provide funding and volunteers then stewarding those donors.
• Create and implement a board development plan. Coordinate and lead annual board retreat and monthly board meetings;
• Effectively represent the organization and promote a positive organizational image to ensure community support;
• Oversee all JA programs, assuring implementation of all programs to meet organizational goals;
• Develop and implement a marketing plan for area;
• Supervise/manage other Angelina County staff;
• Work with JA of Dallas to ensure continuity;
• Attend Junior Achievement trainings, webinars and conferences to ensure current JA implementation standards and best practices.
• Other projects as required, including JA representation on weeknights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications (required)

• Must have three to five years proven experience in corporate, foundation and individual relationship development and event management;
• Strong organizational, written/oral, interpersonal and presentation skills;
• Demonstrate ability to effectively engage with Community Leaders;
• Knowledge of education community and local organizations;
• Strong time management skills;
• Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with donor database software.
• Degree preferred
